PM18 Report – Day Three: Wednesday, July 25

Greetings PM18 family, happy Wednesday!

Are we having fun yet? We are not event to the halfway point! Please consider telling us about some favorite moments that you have enjoyed so far in the PM18 app social feed!

Wednesday has some cool opportunities that you will want to keep on your radar, so let’s get going.

PM Central (Exhibit Hall) – LAST DAY!

Today is the last day to connect with the exhibitors at their booths in PM Central. You will want to make this opportunity count for sure! PM Central is open from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, and we’ve made the schedule so that those two last hours are dedicated soley to checking out the exhibitors (or doing whatever else you’d like with your first real break).

How are you doing with the Scavenger Hunt inside the PM18 app? Today is your day to get caught up if the progress yesterday was slow, plus you will be eligible to win some fabulous prizes! We also heard a rumor that PM18 emcee Donald Kelly is looking for cornhole challengers in the PM Midway. We would love for you to humble him via cornhole.

Today’s Schedule

You can access today’s schedule via the PM18 app or from the website. Here are a few events that you will want to keep on your radar.

If you’ve ever wished that a Podcast Movement party would have more food (13 food stalls to visit), more drinks (open bars), more DJs, more dancing, more acoustic music, more magicians, or just more fun…then Castbox is here for the win.

Rock the Castbox Party!7:00 pm to 10:00 pm across the street from the Marriott at  the world famous Reading Terminal Market

We’re also excited for a number of other special events and sessions taking place today:

PM18 Podcasters of Color Official Meetup 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm at Circ Bar & Lounge (Hotel Lobby)
Join hosts Donald Kelly and Stephen Hart for this informal meetup. Catchup with old friends, or make some new ones. And make sure to check out all the other meetups taking place around Philly this week.

Broadcasters Meet Podcasters Opening Keynote w/ NPR CEO Jarl Mohn – 9am in the Grand Ballroom
We’re excited to welcome back the team from Jacobs Media who, with the support of Beasley Media Group, are hosting this two-day specialty track, and are even more excited to have it kicking off with the amazing Jarl Mohn from NPR.

The Podcast Content Deep Dive (from Coleman Insights) – 10am in the Grand I/J
If you ever wanted to know exactly what content engages your audience, and precisely what content pushes your audience away, we encourage you to check out the Deep Dive.

Audible Original Pitches at PM18 12pm in the Grand C/D
Dozens of your fellow attendees sent in their podcast pitches to Audible, and now you can join the fun as they make the final pitches in person. Some call it the “Shark Tank” of podcasting, but we just call it a lot of fun!

The Evolution of Podcasting (Presented by Tenderfoot TV and Cadence 13) – 1:30 pm in the Grand C/D
One of our most star-studded panels of the week! Join some of the biggest content creators in the podcasting industry to discuss how the medium has pushed boundaries, become a catalyst of thoughtful conversation, and an inspiration for listeners and creators alike.

Patreon Creator Lounge at PM18

Today is your last day to stop by Patreon’s Creator Lounge in MTG404. Learn to build your podcast membership business, enjoy refreshments and get killer advice on connecting with your community.

PM Media Booth

If you’ve not stopped by, we’re on the 5th floor by the big Podcast Movement photo backdrop. We’ve partnered with a talented team of video content creators to help you create a custom piece of Instagram content, capturing your experience at PM18. In roughly 20 minutes of filming, you’ll leave with something one-of-a-kind, and all yours.

Podcast Movement has a lot to offer. We encourage you to seize the day and make the most of the opportunities available for attendees. Please remember to use the hashtag #pm18 when sharing your photos and videos on social media.
